Hillary Clinton: Enemy of Freedom

Why is Hillary Clinton an enemy of freedom? Why is she vilified by freedom loving people? It is because of her socialistic and unconstitutional thoughts such as this:

Speaking on oil company profits:

"The Democrats know what needs to be done. Again, we're working trying to try
push this agenda forward. The other day the oil companies reported the highest
profits in the history of the world. I want to take those profits and I want to
put them into a strategic energy fund that will begin to fund alternative, smart
energy; alternatives and technology that will begin to actually move us toward
the direction of independence." -- Hilliary Clinton 2/3/2007
This is wrong on many levels so let's first start with the basics. First the Contract Clause from the Constitution:

From Article I Section 10 or the Constitution of the United States:
No State shall ... pass any ... Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts.

What this means is that the state can not impair the contracts between individuals. How is that relevant? When you buy gas you are initiating a contract with the company that sells the gas. The Constitution states that it will not impair that transactions. It also means that the company that you bought the gas from has a legal right to the money that you paid for the gas with. Got that?

Ok, moving on:


From the fifth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States:
No person shall...be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law;
nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

This was reiterated in the 14th Amendment:

No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

What this means is that the government can not take your property (money) with out due process of law. It also states that your private property (money) can not be taken with out compensation. This also applies to companies.

What Hillary is saying in her quote is that she would confiscate the profits of oil companies to fund research in to alternative energy systems. This is unconstitutional and illegal.
The oil companies are making money, and lots of it. If you don't like that, don't buy their product. No one is forcing you to fill up your car. No one is forcing you to buy a car that burns gasoline. It is completely up to you. If enough people do not buy the overpriced product, the oil companies will be forced to drop their prices accordingly to entice you to buy. That is how the Free Market system works. That is how the Constitution works.

If Hillary and her friends are allowed this slight to the Constitution, what is next?
