New Fight Added to PRIDE 33, Nakamura Out

PRIDE had a good news/bad news announcement for us yesterday. The bad news is that Nakamura hurt his knee in training, and will not be able to fight on Saturday. A last minute replacement is being sought for Travis.
The good news is an additional fight was added to the card. Sergei Kharitonov will face Mike Russow in a heavy weight showdown!!

Sergei Kharitonov vs Mike Russow
Sergei is in a slump. The Russian fighter was first knocked out by Alistair Overeem in Feb. 2006, then was knocked out again by Aleksander Emelianenko in September 2006.
Sergei have very good stand up, he had knocked out many good strikers, Pedro Rizzo and Ninja Rua being the best of the bunch. Sergei also has a very good ground game. He fought and lost a decision to Nog, and has submitted a good number of his opponents. He has very good top control, and a good G&P game. His total destruction of Semmy Schilt comes to mind when thinking of his G&P game.
Mike Russow is 3-0 in MMA. I know nothing about him, other than he has some connection to Travis Wiuff.
Mike is going to be destroyed. The only problem is figuring out how Sergei is going to finish him. Sure Mike out weighs Sergei, but Sergei has been fighting in PRIDE for a while, fighting the best guys in the world. Experience plays a huge factor here, and I am very surprised that the NAC would allow this fight. Sergei by armbar first round.
