Whoopi, John... The Constitution does not say word one about slaves. None. That was intentionally left up to the states. So even if you rolled back the Constitution to the original 10 Amendments, your state would STILL need to ratify slavery. On top of that, the 13th Amendment bans slavery from the United States. So even if you got rid of all of the federal law passed from this time to that the institution of slavery is STILL illegal.
Instead of calling on her idiocy, McCain simply lets it go by saying "That's a good point."

That's a good point??? He would have corrected her if she said that he was an Air Force pilot. He would have corrected her if she said that he was the Senator from New Mexico. He would have corrected her if she said that he was running against Walter Mondale. But let obvious ignorance go??
